Posts & Stories

A key part of my role as a Social Media and Content Assistant is curating content on a weekly basis.

I manage a content calendar that streamlines platform scheduling and content planning. Collaborating with my team, I stay updated on application deadlines, student blogs, and academic events, ensuring timely coordination of posts across the appropriate platforms.

I have experience creating various types of Instagram Stories, leveraging them as an engaging tool to deliver information efficiently and provide real-time updates. For example, every Arrival Day for DIS students, I organize an Instagram Takeover, interviewing staff and students to capture the excitement of the event.

Additionally, I am proficient in Photoshop and Canva, where I design visually appealing infographics to highlight alumni stories and guide our audience toward key calls to action. Once I understand a brand and its design, I can create engaging content that aligns with its identity.

Student Life

The majority of DIS Abroad’s social media audience consists of students. A key focus of our platform is sharing current student experiences, showcasing opportunities for prospective students, and keeping alumni updated with exciting news.

In addition to curating traditional posts or carousels, I’ve recently been experimenting with text on images to create more informative, engaging pieces of content.

Academics

Academics are at the heart of DIS, with expert faculty who teach what they practice. A key component of our programs is Study Tours, where students travel across Europe with their core classes for immersive, hands-on learning experiences.

I’ve been using carousels to showcase different aspects of the Study Tour, using playful elements to physically show audiences the journey.

Cities & Culture

Another important aspect of our presence as an education abroad organization is highlighting our location and emphasizing Europe as our classroom.
